Tyler met Joe in a high end Government facility ( which we can't name here) where they were trying to sell their bodies to science for money.  After discovering that the facility was really a cover up for an illegal chop shop for surplus 90s toys, expired Gladiators, and the dark arts, they decided to break out. With a little help from what are now known as the BASEMENT WEASELS Joe and Tyler were able to escape and reach the islands of Tuamotu Archipelago. From there they were able hitch hike on fishing boats back to the East Coast. Once back in Cleveland Tyler and Joe vowed never to be chained down by illegal science Government facilitates again. 
With their new freedom Tyler and Joe could now spend their days hunting Bigfoot and trying to find Tyler a proton pack from the Ghostbusters movie. Due to Tyler's weird list of "Rules To Live By" Joe has had to trick him into most of their hunts. This was how things went until recently. After getting a tip from M, Tyler and Joe made off for New York. Joe was to go ahead of Tyler and they would meet up at a certain secret clown gathering. That's when things turned dark.
